To test the new controller, Microsoft presses each button on it two million times.

That's about seven years of typical use. Also, a yellow robot arm swings the controller side to side, like a gamer throwing a fit. That depends on how angry the gamer is.

The D-pad is better.

Gamers hated the weird circular d-pad on the 360 controller. The designers at Microsoft took away those weird webs between the four directions and gave the d-pad its own dedicated circuit board. That means more control. Microsoft prototyped over 200 new controller types.

The design and prototyping teams in Redmond made over 200 prototypes for the new controller, and the most noticeable change is the removal of the bulbous battery pack from the back of the controller.

Earlier this year, Gallup released data on the cities and metropolitan areas of the US with the highest percentages of people identifying as "very religious." Researchers at the website Pornhub (NSFW, clearly) took the opportunity to find out which of those areas visit the site the most. Below, America's most religious cities ranked by per capita visits to Pornhub between December 1, 2012 and April 30, 2013 (in order from least to most porn-loving):

Ogden/Clearfield, UT

With 2.6 Pornhub pageviews per capita between December and April, Ogden/Clearfield was the least porn-loving of the religious cities Pornhub looked at. Fifty-five percent of its residents identify as "very religious."

Relatively unporny, this metro area generated 5 Pornhub pageviews per capita. 54% of residents are very religious.

With 5.7 Pornhub views per capita between December and April, the hometown of Brigham Young University ranked third from last in porn love. It also has the highest level of religiosity: 77%.

Abraham Lincoln's patience for free speech was tested during the Civil War when two New York newspapers, the Journal of Commerce and the World, wrote a fake story about the president. He ordered them shut down and their publishers imprisoned.

Lincoln also had The Independent Telegraph System, which dispersed the story, taken over by the military.

Before that, Lincoln's General Ambrose Burnside shut down the Chicago Times for three days in 1863 for speaking out against the president.

Tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets when the Times was shut. In response, Lincoln, who hadn't supported Burnside's decision to shut the newspaper down, ordered that it be allowed to resume publication.

The Sedition Act of 1798 made it illegal to openly criticize the government.

The law was created to specifically target media who opposed the Federalist Party, then led by President John Adams. An estimated 25 individuals were arrested under the act. Among them were editors of the General Advertiser in Philadelphia; the Boston Independent Chronicle, and the Vermont Gazette, as well as printers who worked for them.

Charles Schenck was arrested in 1917 under the Espionage Act when he, along with some of his cohorts, distributed leaflets protesting the draft.

The Espionage Act was made even stronger with the renewal of the Sedition Act in 1918. Schenck's case was eventually brought to the Supreme Court, which ruled that the Act did not violate Schenck's First Amendment rights.
