Sex cells in the bodies of chickens can lead to some individuals that appear half male and half female. The female side is brown with a small wattle and slight build, while the male side is white with a large wattle, large breast musculature and heavy bone structure. Some chickens have sexual-identity issues, waddling around with half-male and half-female plumage.  Now researchers have figured out the cause of the gender-confusing traits: Half of their bodies are full of female sex cells, while the other half contains mostly male cells.

Police: Burglar uses church equipment to view porn

Second-degree burglary charges have been filed against an Ames man who broke into a church where he allegedly used the institution’s electronic equipment to watch pornography. Police allege the 55-year-old man broke into the First Christian Church on Thursday. After gathering items from around the building, he is believed to have gone to the basement to spend the night.

A South African teenager has reportedly given birth to a baby even though she has no genitals.

The teenager – who was stabbed in the stomach by an ex-boyfriend after he caught her having oral sex with a man at a bar – has allegedly given birth after the knifing allowed sperm to move from her stomach to her internal reproductive organs, creating a baby.

Police: Drunk woman lets 14-year-old son drive

A 37-year-old woman was accused of putting her 14-year-old behind the wheel because she was too drunk to drive. The woman was arrested Saturday after Washington County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle on U.S. Highway 75 because of erratic driving. Deputies found the woman’s 14-year-old son in the driver’s seat and two other minors — ages 14 and 17 — in the car.
